    • Golden Wedding.
      Mr and Mrs Thomas Percival
      celebrated their Golden Wed-
ding at their home in Camp-
      bell-street Burrowa, on Tues-
      day 28th February. The cele-
brations were of a quiet nature,
as owing to the recent death
of a relative only the members
      of the family were present.
      With the exception of two
      members the whole of their
      family attended. On the
      28th February 1872, the mar-
riage of Mr and Mrs Thomas
      Percival took place at Rye
      Park in the Methodist Church
by the Rev John Clifton. It
is thus a bright spot in their
      lives that they should have
lived to celebrate such an aus-
      picious occasion with their
      children and children's child-
ren. The family consists of 12
in number, 5 sons and 7 daugh-
ters all of whom are living.
The sons are ? Thomas, Wil-
      liam and Alfred of Rye Park ;
      Reginal of Rugby, and Hedley
      of Burrowa. The daughters
are ? Mrs Hayes, Sydney ; Mrs
      O. Gorham, Rye Park ; Mrs
      Jackson and Mrs Arnold Syd-
ney ; Mrs J. Diggins, Bur-
      rowa and Miss Hazel Percival
      Sydney. There are 26 grand-
      children. Mrs Wales, Syd-
      ney, Mrs Nealon, Grenfell,
      Mrs Randell, Murrumburrah
      and Mrs Elms, Wattamondara
are sisters of Mr Percival, and
      Mr John Percival, of Rye
      Park is a brother.
      The aged couple were pre-
      sented with appropriate souv-
      enirs of their celebration, Mrs
      Percival receiving a gold
      brooch and Mr Percival two
      gold mounted pipes.
      The greater portion of their
Fix this textlife has been spent in Bur-
rowa, with the exception of a
      short period at Grenfell, and
they can be looked upon as the
      pioneers of our district, and
      well-known for their hos-
      pitality and their sterling worth
as citizens, being held in the
highest esteem by a large circle
      of friends.
Mr Percival who is in his
76th year was born at Sydney
and his wife is a native of
      Bathurst. Mr Ryland Hard-
ing was best man and Miss
      Eliza Noakes was bridesmaid.
      We congratulate the aged
      couple on the celebration of
      their golden wedding and hope
to hear of them celebrating the
      diamond event.
